SOMETHING IS OPENING.
The very first letter from The Malka Room.

Perhaps you’ve felt it, not necessarily as something dramatic. Maybe it’s simply a restlessness you can’t explain, a question that keeps returning to your mind, day after day.
It could be the simplicity of a strange coincidence, or perhaps something that once fitted your life perfectly but suddenly feels too small.
Maybe its a quiet suspicion that somewhere along the way, while becoming everything life required you to become, you stopped hearing something within yourself. You started doubting you even could.
But now its knocking, and it’s getting louder.
Not shouting, but rather its ‘Whispering‘, its remembering the deep deep places within.
THE QUESTIONS WE HAVE
There are questions we ask because we need information.
Where should I go? What should I choose? What happens next?
We search, we Google, we ask our friends. We read another book, listen to another podcast, ask someone wiser, older, more qualified, more spiritual or seemingly more certain than ourselves, and sometimes that’s exactly what we need.
But there is another kind of question. The question that follows you. The one that appears while you’re driving, making coffee, standing in a forest beneath the trees.
Its the question that awakens you unexpectedly in the middle of the night.
It doesn’t always want an immediate answer, often it simply wants your attention.
I have become increasingly fascinated by these questions. I am asked them every day everywhere I go.
I love them because so often beneath them, there is something else happening.
Something within us is changing, its asking to be heard.
PERHAPS YOU ARE NOT LOST
We have become very accustomed to believing that uncertainty means something has gone wrong.
I don’t know what I’m doing, I don’t know who I am anymore, I don’t know what comes next.
But what if uncertainty isn’t always evidence that you’re lost? What if sometimes it means the map you’ve been using simply cannot take you where you’re going next? Nature understands this. There are seasons where everything appears to disappear beneath the earth. There are seasons of extraordinary emergence, the times when Trees release what they can no longer carry, when seeds break open and tides withdraw.
The moon disappears and returns.
Nothing in nature seems particularly concerned with remaining exactly as it was, and yet we humans can spend enormous amounts of energy trying to do precisely that.
Perhaps there are moments when life isn’t asking us to hold everything together.
Perhaps it is asking us to notice what is changing and to simply LET GO.
WISDOM DOESN’T ALWAYS SHOUT
For more than three decades, my own spiritual journey has taken me through faith, creativity, contemplation, sound, mystery, nature and experiences of the unseen.
And one thing continues to return: WISDOM and The Remembering.
Wisdom is often remarkably quiet. I have learnt that the loudest voice isn’t necessarily the truest one.
There is another kind of knowing. Sometimes it arrives as resonance, as a feeling in the body, an image, a word, a piece of music or a synchronicity that stops you in your tracks.
A thought that appears from somewhere beneath thought itself.
Or simply a quiet internal:
Yes.
I’ve come to believe that some of the most important moments of our lives begin there. Not with certainty but with the simplicity of listening, with attention.
THIS IS WHY THE MALKA ROOM EXISTS
The Malka Room isn’t a place where I want you to hand your knowing over to me.
Quite the opposite.
Through Oracle, spiritual listening, wisdom, sound, contemplation and the mysteries of the natural and unseen worlds, I want to create spaces where we can become curious again.
Not: Tell me what my future holds.
But: What is asking to be noticed right now?
Not: Tell me what I should do.
But: What do I know when everything becomes quiet?
Not: Give me my power.
But: Where did I forget that it was already mine?
That is the Divine Spaciousness behind the Green Door.
SO LET’S BEGIN WITH A QUESTION
There will be plenty of them here. Some gentle, some inconvenient, some that may follow you around for day and some you may immediately wish I hadn’t asked.
Here’s the first:
What has been quietly asking for your attention lately?
Don’t answer immediately and don’t turn it into homework.
Don’t try to make the answer profound.
Take the question with you. Make coffee or tea. Go for a walk. Sit beneath a tree.
Stand barefoot somewhere and become quiet.
THEN…. notice.
Perhaps nothing happens.
That’s okay too.
But perhaps somewhere beneath all the thinking, explaining, searching and trying to figure everything out… something whispers.
And when it does, listen. You may already know far more than you think.
